LIFE IN MOTION AT MIRABEL

There is no shortage of ways to move here at Mirabel, and I’m excited to provide the inside track to all of them. Our investment in an upgraded and expanded fitness center shows we’re a community that loves to stay active and set the pace for private club living in North Scottsdale.

Our focus on staying active extends near and far. In the fitness center, it begins in a spacious gym brimming with natural light and modern equipment. It shifts speed through the varying intensities of the many studio classes we offer. It flows through our four yoga modalities and spills poolside over aqua therapy sessions.

And then, off we go to the trailheads of Mirabel’s breathtaking borderlands. From October through April, the Mirabel Hiking Club goes treasure-hunting for scenic views and Members-only banter along undulating terrain.

Within this actively social and socially active Club culture, connection is enjoyed everywhere. Our modern fitness center flexes daylong natural light across dedicated areas for stretching, free weights, Pilates Reformers and dynamic gym equipment. The unifying spirit we enjoy on the golf course is shared within Mirabel’s many fitness and exercise classes, and often full of inspiration. From yoga to spinning, Pilates to Zumba, aquatics to golf-enhancing, Mirabel’s fitness and exercise programs are second to none. Enjoy outdoor and indoor classes as well as streaming and on-demand video lessons to help you get in shape safely and effectively.

Fitness Challenges

Teamwork makes the Mirabel dream work! The annual Men’s & Ladies’ Fitness Challenge — our six-week fitness and wellness program that uses team-based scoring to meet individual fitness and wellness goals. Reach for your personal physical fitness peak and push your abilities to the next level alongside like-minded Mirabelians. All fitness levels are welcome, and details will be announced on the Member website and via email.

Pilates Boutique Studio

Pilates has a dedicated, state of the art studio home at Mirabel. The Pilates Boutique Studio uses Clinical Reformers, Pedal Chairs and Balance Body Arcs to tone, lengthen, and challenge the body. By incorporating mindfulness, breath, and fluid movement, the body is brought into a place of ease. Ladies, men, golfers — this is your perfect cross-training choice. Personalized individual and Duet Pilates sessions available!

Fitness Hours

Regular Fitness Center hours are 6:00 am – 6:00 pm.

The Fitness Center can also be accessed 24 hours a day. Outside of regular hours, please be aware staff members may not be present.

Fitness Classes

Whatever your fitness goals, Mirabel has a class to meet them. Discover your favorite new routine below.

AQUA-FIT

Aqua Aerobics is offered outside in our pool. Includes shallow-water cardio exercises and deep-water core strength exercises. Equipment is provided.

ATHLETIC CONDITIONING

Challenge your body and avoid fitness plateaus by using a wide variety of equipment and performing many types of exercises. Alternate between cardio and strength-building sets to keep your body guessing.

BALANCE & STRETCH

Standing balance exercises are followed by deep stretches on the mat using yoga blocks.

BARRE & MAT PILATES

Ballet barre-inspired, low-impact class designed to strengthen, tone, and sculpt leg muscles and the core.

BOX-FIT

Full-body, toning, and cardio-based all in one. Expect cardio drills, heavy bag rounds, abs, and more. A combination of cardio and martial arts will improve your endurance, cardiovascular fitness, and muscle tone.

BURN 45

High-Intensity Intervals class, designed to burn maximum calories in a short period of time. Expect your heart rate to go up. We will do 45 seconds of high-intensity work with 10 seconds of rest. All bodyweight exercises.

CHAIR CARDIO

(offered in season)

All exercises are performed while seated, making this routine appropriate for beginners and those with disabilities or lower-body injuries. The exercises will work your whole body without putting any pressure on your joints. You will feel your arms, legs, lungs, and abs work while you challenge your cardiovascular system.

GIVE ME STRENGTH

Full-body strength exercises using different modalities.

GYM CIRCUIT

Stations are set up in the gym at the different machines. Participants will complete the exercise for a specific amount of time, then rotate to the next station. Great way to get familiar with the gym equipment.

HIIT

Class takes place in the Movement Room, where exercise stations are set up in circuits. Strength and endurance classes for the whole body.

PILATES STRENGTH

Strength and conditioning class with Pilates elements and techniques.

PILATES CIRCUIT

Full-body conditioning class utilizing the Pilates Reformer, EXO chair, and other Pilates tools. Class takes place in the Pilates Studio; space is limited and reservations are required.

Egoscue Method-inspired class, utilizing postural alignment therapy exercises.

RESTORATIVE

Yoga practice is relaxing and slow-paced. Props, like blocks, bolsters, blankets, and straps, are used so that you are supported comfortably in your pose. We will then hold the pose for an extended period of time. The parasympathetic nervous system is stimulated when we relax into poses, which promotes a relaxation response and reduces stress in our bodies.

YOGA REMEDIES

Therapeutic yoga series includes ways to alleviate pain, strengthen muscles, and prevent future discomfort. Classes will be gentle to moderate in difficulty level.

YOGA VINYASA

Characterized by stringing postures together so that you move from one to another seamlessly, using breath. All levels.

ZUMBA

High-energy, low-impact cardio dance class. Dance and sweat to Latin music and modern hits.

Yoga Classes

From the vigorous to the meditative, enjoy different ways to flow!

Aerial Yoga

Master your center of gravity, build core power and improve your strength, balance, flexibility and endurance as you swing, fly and hang upside down on our Aerial Yoga swings.

Therapeutic Yoga

This class series includes ways to alleviate pain, strengthen, and prevent future discomfort. Classes will be gentle to moderate in difficulty level and could easily incorporate those who might need or want to use a chair for confidence.

Personal Therapy

Start things off on the right foot with a one-on-one session with Jenny Hill. Combining therapeutic exercise and modalities, this assessment provides a roadmap to personalized exercise programs and preexisting pain point recovery. Personal training sessions are available by request!

Hiking Club

From beginner hikes featuring level terrain to more intermediate expeditions and elevation gains, the hills are alive with the sounds of the Mirabel Hiking Club.

We ask that all Members sign in at the Fitness Center Front Desk. This helps us track gym usage and equipment availability.

Can Guests use the facility?
Yes! Please have all guests sign in at the Fitness Center Front Desk. Please note there will be a $10 guest fee charged to your account.
